The Timber & Stone Residence
Introduction

The Challenge
The primary design hurdle involved creating a home that felt expansive and connected to the outdoors while maintaining absolute privacy from the surrounding neighborhood. Achieving significant natural light without exposing the private living areas to the street required a strategic rethink of traditional wall and window placements.

Our Solution
We introduced a massive geometric glass skylight that floods the upper terraces with daylight without compromising security. The facade uses a layered approach with charcoal stone cladding and deep overhangs to shield the interiors. Vertical greenery and glass balustrades were integrated to soften the hard stone edges and create a breezy resort like atmosphere within a compact footprint.

The Outcome
The final residence stands as a masterpiece of modern materials and spatial planning. Residents enjoy a dramatic play of shadows and light throughout the day thanks to the overhead glass structures. The home offers a private world of calm where the massive stone walls provide a sense of permanence and the open terraces offer a feeling of total freedom.
